Snowboard Teams
Squaw Valley offer racing and freestyle coaching for competitive snowboarders from intermediate to the national level. Daily training includes park and gate training, half-pipe training, big mountain and free-riding on the mountain. Athletes compete in a local competition series and at the FIS and Nor AM level.

Development Team
The Snowboard Development Team is for athletes who are at least advanced intermediate riders.

| Breaks and Snacks | We ride and get mileage! Therefore, we do not plan a break into our daily schedule except on very cold or windy days. For these occasions it is advisable to give your child at least $2 for purchase of hot chocolate. A pocket snack is always a good idea, but no candy, please! |
| Lunch | Meals not included and lunch is supervised by team coaches. |
| Bad Weather |
Our goal is to ride every day. We may have a delayed start or cancel on the odd occasion due to weather or operational challenges. This decision is made on advisement of Executive Mountain Management. Please check our website for the Daily Training Schedule or call the Ski Team office at 530-452-7270 after 7am. |
Requirements for Snowboard Development Team
- Advanced intermediate or better
- Participated in a snowboard program in the 2010-11 season
- A two weekend trial period for all new members of the Snowboard Team
- Positive attitude and team participation
